Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson raised more than one eyebrow Monday when he publicly spoke out against his male Fast 8 co-stars.

In an emotional Facebook post, the actor-producer praised the movie's crew, Universal Studios Entertainment and his "amazing" female co-stars. But he made a point to note that his "male coworkers however are a different story," writing, "Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s--t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses."

Johnson did not name which male co-star(s) specifically had him riled up, and for their part, Fast 8's Vin Diesel, Scott Eastwood, Tyrese, Jason Statham and Ludacris have yet to directly respond to thepost. That said, a source tells E! News exclusively that shooting this installment of the franchise "wasn't easy for anyone," but it was "especially" hard on Johnson.

Things on set just "didn't feel exactly the same" this time around, says an insider. And while Johnson "is the best guy on the planet to work with," he's "also a very emotional guy" and "likes things to go as he sees fit [while] also being fair."

Johnson noted in his Facebook post that there are scenes in the movie "where it seems like I'm not acting....and my blood is legit boiling," and for good reason. He really did "get heated with some other guys on set," a source tells E! News. "Some of the guys did some small things that pissed him off, so he snapped. He called them out and then they were [too] silent to man up and say what they wanted to say."

When Johnson's Fast 8 co-stars didn't "man up," so to speak, the actor "just vented like he always has, but all is cool now." Yep, The Rock "is excited for this movie to come out," says an insider, "but [he's] also ready to take a break and have it be over."

He's not the only one, either. According to a source, all of the Fast 8 guys "need some space" right now.
